I have made a few improvement to Tagxedo, and here they are:

• More graceful handling of webpages not encoded with UTF-8 or ISO-8859-1.
• Better handling of escape characters in HTML pages.
• Better control over how images are used as shapes.
• Now read PNG files with transparency correctly.
• Improved the sizing algorithm so that frequent words stand out more. The notion of "emphasis" is more formally described in the FAQ, and now users can achieve a wider range of sizing effects, including a "Wordle-compatible" mode.
